Shwetha and Matt were married on July 2, 2011 at the Springfield Country Club in a traditional Christian service. To complete their 'tale of two cities', they are also heading to India in November for a Hindu wedding ceremony. They were photographed by Michelle Lindsay Photography - and here's what Michelle said about their wedding day. "I think what I love the most about Shwetha and Matt is how easy going they are. They love to laugh, which makes being around them extremely comfortable. Since Shwetha lived in NYC, we hadn't been able to do an engagement session so the wedding day was their first To View More >>

Here's a beautiful press book of a collection of landscapes and seascapes on the West Coast of Scotland, photographed by Simon Mark Whitten of Firehorse Photography. Simon say's "the images were a few snaps that I took (mainly with a compact camera) on holiday recently for a few days with my family!" Those 'few snaps' look absoloutely stunning in black and white, printed on Queensberry's Pearl Metallic paper stock. Take a look at a few layouts. To see more of Simon's work, click here. Enjoy! Nikki and Rich had a wedding style that reflected their personalities perfectly. Vintage inspired wedding dress shop owner Nikki, wore one of her beautiful dresses with her favorite bright pink shoes. Rich looked cool, and more like a rockstar come gangstar than a groom says their photographer Caroline White. "The art deco boutique hotel venue in the centre of town meant we could go for a walk in the streets. As we were walking, two guys driving the most amazing bright red car, like something out of a movie (it turns out it actually was!) drove past. I was so excited, I said "wow that's amazing, To View More >>

Leah & Aidan were married on the 5th of September, 2010 and photographed by Kelsey Thompson. Their venue was the gorgeous Brookside Gardens in the Washington, DC metro area. Kelsey says that "Leah and Aidan are a really fun and unique couple and they actually moved to Tanzania immediately following the wedding so that Leah could work on a project to build schools there." Rebecca & Gary were married at St. Peter's church, East Drayton in Lincolnshire followed by a marquee reception on the bride's parents farm. They were photographed by Simon Mark Whitten of Firehorse Photography. This wedding was a 'classic English' summer wedding (picturesque country church, marquee, vintage Jaguar car, blue skies and sunshine) with a real outdoor feel and flavour with some stunning and delicate design touches by the bride herself. Rebecca imported the flowers in from the Netherlands and made pretty much all of the flower arrangement and 'vintage' detailing herself, with some To View More >>

Anna and Gavin were married on October 30th 2010 at Linthwaite House Hotel. They were photographed by Lisa Aldersley, who knew it would be an amazing day from the moment she arrived at Anna's parent's house in the morning. "In fact - says Lisa - when they first came to see me I had my fingers crossed that they would pick me to capture it for them! Anna is a little bit quirky and Gavin has massive dimples when he smiles. They are so stylish and their wedding captured their personalities so well with vintage details, bunting, china tea cups (that Anna and her mum collected from charity shops for To View More >>

We've just spent a great Monday afternoon browsing through the submissions for our Bragging Rights campaign, which closed last Friday. Thank you to everyone who participated! We had a terrific response from friends old and new. Plenty of weddings of course, but also engagement shoots, family portraits, maternity, pets, you name it. Different countries, cultures, locations and styles. So that was inspiring, but now comes the hard part – choosing! We're looking for twelve sets of images to showcase on our website, in our new season sample albums and books, and in our blogs and marketing pieces. To View More >>

We like to say “We’re local” wherever we do business, but this story is as local as you can get… When we asked our regular clients to complete a survey, we promised a free album to one lucky respondent. We couldn’t believe it when the winner was a New Zealander, Liz March, from our own hometown! In fact she used to work not a mile from the Bindery. When we asked Liz to introduce herself to our readers, this is what she wrote: “About ten years ago I was working as an art teacher at a full immersion Maori school in Glen Eden. On my way to school one morning I picked up a hitchhiker who To View More >>

Photography by Johannes van Kan I hope you have a blog. They're a perfect marketing vehicle for photographers, and they're free. Photograph every album before you present it to your client, write a post about them, their day and their album, and send them the link. Just like all our new possessions (and this is a very special one) they'll want to show their friends and family, talk about it and (hopefully!) recommend the person who created it for them (you). What could be better? And don't forget to promote your blog on your website, in your email signature and in your fliers etc. To get you To View More >>
