Hello everyone! My name is Amanda and I'm the newest member of the Queensberry team. I've jumped on board to take part in our communications so chances are if you're engaging with us on Twitter or Facebook- it'll be me you're talking to! Being new around here I've had a lot to learn, one of the biggest things being the difference between Photojunction and Workspace. I thought it might be handy to outline some of their key differences that have helped me understand the functions of each. Hopefully my notes will help you too! Let's start with Photojunction: Photojunction is a powerful desktop programme, To View More >>

It's been a busy year for Queensberry. We've made some minor changes to our classic albums, but the big news has been the launch of Musée and the Queensberry Press. We're big believers in the principle of "Good Better Best" as a way to tempt your clients' wallets and aspirations, and these new ranges reflect that. That recent New York Times article caused a kerfuffle by highlighting the impact of digital imaging, photo sharing, stock photography etc. In a nutshell, how does a professional photographer survive and thrive when imagery is everywhere, and generally free or nearly so? Or as Seth Godin put it, how are "average photographers" going to make a living shooting weddings "when the guests can do almost as well and all the photos are going on flickr anyway"? Case in point... Our own Danny married Natalie recently. Needless to say they hired a photographer ... but if they hadn't? They have heaps of photos To View More >>

Well it's been a tough week. No plague of locusts, but nothing else came easy! But we’ve reached final and it’s an amazing feeling. Our company’s growing and we want to show our thanks. Here goes… From Day One our goal has been to build an outstanding application, which is impossible without supportive, committed beta testers. But beta testing is like jury service – who wants to get involved? It's purely voluntary, everyone benefits, and that’s why we’re so grateful. We know it’s been tough at times, but what we've done together is build cool software - thank you. Trust us – the To View More >>

As soon as November comes around things get pretty crazy here at Queensberry! We always set an early cut-off date because we get a flood of orders at this time of year, and want to be able to guarantee delivery, but also because it's summer down under and we close down for three weeks. The last thing we want to happen is for one of your customers to be disappointed!  We know our job is to look after your brand as well as to delight your customers. Fortunately, you're in good hands. Our customer support team and production staff are truly awesome!  They arrive to work in the early hours (often To View More >>

Since our re-branding last year the front flyleaf of every Queensberry album has been embossed with the new Q-mark. Why's it there? It’s simple really: to sign our work with pride and to acknowledge the craftsmanship and detailing that goes into every album we build. We're doing the same thing that you do as a photographer when you sign your work. We're branding it. Let me explain in detail what we're doing and why, because our goal is to build a brand that will support you as our clients. § Branding is primarily about getting recognised - not a "camera" but a Leica, not a "wedding album" but To View More >>

Sometimes when I'm on the phone with clients, we start talking about different album companies. Typically, we gush about how gorgeous Queensberry albums are. Occasionally, on the other end is someone who has never actually seen a Queensberry book. I still gush. They question it. After all, I work for the company – of course I say it's best? Here's the thing, I tend to only want to work for companies I can stand by. While I've had a few bumps along To View More >>
