How famous are you? Seriously. In your neighbourhood and around the world? Being world famous is cool, and sometimes it may be important, but for most of us being famous in our own back yard is good enough. Here's a case in point. In New Zealand there's a drink called Lemon and Paeroa (L&P to its friends). It's "world famous in New Zealand", so famous it has its own statue. But I'll bet you've never heard of it, and they probably don't care. Watch this rather weird video if you need a laugh for the day (isn't that Jermaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords doing the voiceover?). We want to To View More >>

From our little corner of the world, here's wishing all you Americans and Canadians a happy thanksgiving. Sadly we don't celebrate the day in New Zealand, so we spent it at work - it's Friday morning here now - but we wish we could join you. It's a reminder to pause and give thanks for our blessings, so here's a huge heartfelt thank you to ALL our friends, readers, likers and commenters, album customers, Workspace users and PJ geeks, brides and grooms, mums and dads, suppliers and partners - and of course all our bindery, lab, IT, design and support staff, past and present - in fact all who make To View More >>

Knowing my brother and sister-and-law were receiving their very own Queensberry through photographer Kelly Newland I was super excited and couldn’t wait for their album to hit production! They received their album a few weeks ago and they couldn’t be more thrilled. Brendan and Sophie wed at Souljians Estate Winery here in Auckland, New Zealand. It was a perfect day celebrated with close friends and family. Their album has edged pages and protective corners, unique to any Classic Matted Album. Brendan and his groomsmen arrived in style in an old school chevrolet. Both the ceremony To View More >>

We’re truly grateful to the hundreds of photographers from around the world who took part in our Bragging Rights promotion. Here, in no particular order, are the people whose work we chose to celebrate the love and laughter, vibrant cultures, dramatic environments and compelling stories we see every day in the books and albums we make... Newborn photographer Amy Cope is based in Auckland, New Zealand. Amy had two gorgeous shoots for us - one of little 10 day old Clara (above) with gorgeous mint and cream coloured accessories in her shoot. And 18 day old baby Ella who has a sprinkling To View More >>

We love hearing about the different ways people sell their images and we love that we get to add value to their brand. Below is a series of matted prints photographed by Rachel Russell, based in Marlborough NZ. Rachel sells her prints at the Mistletoe Market in Blenheim, South Island, NZ. We think that's pretty cool and pretty entrepreneurial! When you order individual matted Q-prints they come complete with a Q embossed cover sheet. This not only protects the mat and print, but increases the perceived value. The cover sheet with our Q emboss authenticates that the image To View More >>

Every year or two we ask the fantastic photographers we work with for fresh new images to beautify our website, sample albums, blog posts etc, and the response always blows us away. We call this our Bragging Rights promotion because, even though it’s not really a competition, people are proud to have their work chosen from the hundreds of submissions, and we’re very proud to use them. Our customers come from around the world, and we like to highlight the vibrant cultures, dramatic environments and compelling stories that we see every day in the books and albums we make. This year we To View More >>

When our friends from NZTE (New Zealand Trade and Enterprise) wanted a customised book designed for Judith Thompson, the retiring Director of Better by Design, we were more than happy to jump aboard. The brief was for Queensberry to design, print and bind a book filled with photos and personal messages supplied by staff, clients and friends from her time with NZTE. Click on the images to take a closer look. Judith’s overall responsibility included a range of design education initiatives including the regional CEO talk series, study tours to Silicon Valley and Better By Design's annual CEO Summit. Michelle and Guy wed at the Milk Station in Otaki, New Zealand. The photographer of the day was Siaosi Photography who are based in Wellington, New Zealand. With a wedding of only 25 guests, it was a relaxed and intimate day shared with loved ones – the perfect celebration for Michelle and Guy. Translucent title pages are a great introduction to any album. I just adore the soft shades of purple & grey throughout this 10x10 Flushmount Album (I'm a sucker for anything Lavender!) A relaxed garden party was the perfect fit for Chris and Donna's intimate wedding. They wed at Mantells in Auckland New Zealand where quality champagne and canapés were served and French jazz played. Their wedding has a gorgeous vintage feel to it - enhanced by the style of Jessica Photography's images. Click on the image to take a closer look - Donna's Sera Lilly dress is just beautiful. Words from the bride: "We made sure that our ceremony had a good mix of serious and fun so that our guests weren’t bored. We added in comical moments, honest truths about ourselves (– where the guests To View More >>

If you're flying in to shoot a wedding and the weather's so foul the plane mightn't be able to land, you have every wedding photographer's nightmare. And to say the weather was foul would be an understatement... But the plane did land and Johannes (of Moda Fotografica) had already covered the other bases before heading out to shoot Vicky and Ricky's wedding at French Farm in the South Island of New Zealand. With heavy rain forecast and weather warnings in place, Johannes discussed with the couple what would happen if the weather didn't play nice. He walked them through how it might effect what To View More >>
