Christina and Jesse's album, by 2010 New Zealand photographer of the year Tony Carter, has been on lock-down for the past few months while it was entered into the recent NZIPP Iris Awards. It emerged not long ago sporting a Bronze for the Wedding album category; just one of the awards Tony picked up. Christina and Jesse married in late January at Waiaua Estate, North Taranaki, New Zealand, and went for a wide format 18x10 Duo album... Determined to not let the rain spoil their day, Louise and Phil made the most of their personal wedding ceremony and travel themed reception at Packington Moor Farm, Staffordshire, UK. Their photographer Claire Evans says, "Louise came prepared to brave the weather with a pretty pair of red and white spotted wellies, her bridesmaid had purple ones, and even Phil had his brand new pair to wear if needed!" Luckily a break in the weather later in the day, allowed them to venture out into the surrounding countryside for some bridal photos... and make good use of those wellies! Louise and Phil chose To View More >>

This week's feature album comes from French photographer Mathilde Magne who captured Barbara and Ludovic's big day. Mathilde shares the couple's love story explaining, "Barbara and Ludovic first fell in love at the age of nine before moving away from each other. After 21 years apart, they met again several years ago and both felt like nothing had ever changed between them. Simon Whitten is a long-standing and valued Queensberry client from Yorkshire in England. His association with the luxury castle hotel Swinton Park is very important to him, and for years his Queensberry sample album has rested on the piano in the drawing room. When the time came to update it, the question was “with what?” Having covered many great weddings at Swinton Park, he decided on an 18x12 Duo “best of” album, featuring three couples/weddings that reflected both his own best work and Swinton Park at various times of the year. • Sarah and Paul had “a glorious summer wedding in To View More >>

A couple of changes have been made to the way templates operate, making them even smarter than they already were. Here's the low-down... 1) When dropping a template onto a layout, Photojunction no longer Groups the apertures, which should make templates easier to understand for any users who haven't come to terms with Groups yet. Photojunction automatically scales and centers the template on the layout  for you. That'll make editing a whole lot quicker and easier. 2) When using a Queensberry Duo template, Photojunction remembers which apertures were Matted and which were Digital. As with all templates, To View More >>

I am so proud of this from Ross Grieve (a UK-based Kiwi photographer) because it's Queensberry to the core. I'm sure Jo is too. When Ross's photos arrive we'll feature the album on our consumer blog. - Ian [caption id="attachment_7424" align="alignleft" width="150" caption="Ross & his idea guru"][/caption] Last year our Queensberry Account Manager, Jo (or our idea guru as I like to call her), suggested we get a Duo sample to have something unique in the studio. Now the thing I like about Jo: she is not a sales person, she is someone who is there to help you and your business. With that in mind To View More >>

[caption id="attachment_1348" align="alignnone" width="500" caption="Photography by Michael + Anna Costa"][/caption] Although we'd love all our clients to print with us, and most now do, we can't expect that everyone will. It's a huge ask to send your images to the other side of the world for printing.  But sometimes, for reasons that have little to do with the printing itself, we need really tight control to deliver you a good result. Duos are a prime example. The design and craft processes that allow us to integrate digital and matted pages, create split mats etc are intensive and very demanding. To View More >>

Alan (not his real name) and his wife were long-standing clients of one of our competitors. They came to us because they didn't like the way they'd been treated. Unlike Katherine, who likes us (even if she's frustrated), we haven't earned anything from Alan and his wife except a chance to win their business. Alan's customers really like our Duos, which of course they couldn't get before, but he finds designing and ordering them difficult. Alan designs them on paper and his wife recreates them in Remix. Alan's designs are reasonably complex, his wife is a fan of her old software (which can't handle To View More >>

[caption id="attachment_2679" align="alignnone" width="500" caption="Click on the images to view them larger"][/caption] We often talk about albums catching our eye... This one by Josef Isayo certainly did. He shot Porsche and Adam's wedding in early 2007. The couple, two ER doctors from San Francisco, came to Josef and asked him to shoot their wedding in Cuixmala, Mexico- an opportunity many photographers strive for. But as an experienced destination photographer who's shot several weddings in Mexico, Josef knows it's no walk in the park - you've got to be prepared. I asked Josef to share To View More >>
