David with his Queensberry book We get to see many beautiful stories at Queensberry, and sometimes we need to share them. David Edmonson and his son Luke, both multi-award winning wedding, portrait and commercial photographers, are based in Dallas Texas. After a major health challenge David decided to take on a personal project, which this lovely book documents. I’ve don’t usually take books and albums home with me, but I just had to spend some time with this one, absorbing the images, reading the compelling words he uses to describe them, and the messages he wants his children To View More >>

This week's 'Album of the Week' goes to Ian and Emma from Ian Scott Photography. "We had the pleasure of meeting with Sarah and Ben several times before the wedding day," Emma says. "First at their pre-wedding shoot, then at the studio for newborn photographs of their baby daughter. They were so chilled out we knew we would have a great day capturing their wedding."  The album is a 14x10 Fine Art Flushmount with a Sahara Faux Leather cover. "Their  wedding venue, Offley Place, is a beautiful country house hotel in Great Offley.  A picturesque setting for a wedding To View More >>

Ever since digital replaced film as the photographers’ tool of choice, there’s been a rapid rise in reported cases of Photographer’s Herd Instinct Disease (PHID). Like other herd behaviors (buffalo grazing, people drinking Kool-Aid®, etc.) the symptoms of PHID include needing to hang out with the rest of the herd, think the same thoughts and do the same things. PHID is viral and highly contagious, and affects wedding and portrait photographers in particular. Although often transmitted through direct photographer-to-photographer contact, recent studies suggest that software To View More >>

Following on from  'Tribe', an exhibition by Tania Niwa (sponsored by Queensberry) in 2017, this album was made for a family who had suffered a tragedy. Tania and Mary Raukawa Newton share how these photographs connect families and cultures. "These fine art images are from a family portrait commission I have been working on," Tania says. "They feature in a custom-made leather album for widower Mary Raukawa Newton and her little boy Leighton. "Mary lost her fiancé Alekh when Leighton was a few weeks old. Her fiancé was of Nepalese heritage. To View More >>

When Rosie, from Rosie Wedderburn Photography, alerted us to this outstanding review, we knew we had to share her kind words, and not just because it set us up to feel pretty good about ourselves for the day! It's not like we never get kind feedback, but what struck us about Rosie's is that she's talking about our most "affordable" album, and as you can see it underlines the fact that we don't compromise on quality to hit the price point. Thanks again Rosie, one day we'll see if we can fit you out with a Duo sample! <lol> New Product! Incredible quality photo albums To View More >>

You've seen Amanda King's By the Horns photographs in large format prints, but they look so dramatic in albums too! This is a 15x12 vertical Q-Book Medium with offset printing on Tintoretto to give that textured, watercolour look.  The creamy, 'Eggshell' cover is a vegan-friendly micro leather, appropriate considering the subject matter. ( Amanda, who's based in Canterbury, New Zealand, says anybody who knows her will tell you of her love for animals. "If only I could keep them all as pets.") This week's Album of the Week is a 10x10 Classic Flushmount with Silver-Halide printing. The cover features Champagne Faux Leather and Bank Gothic Blind Embossing.  The beautiful wedding photography belongs to Simon Biffen, who got married at the very same venue himself seven years ago. Based in Bath, UK, Simon captures free-flowing and fun photographs of weddings. Couples are often opting for more casual celebrations, involving games and pets in their photographs. "The wedding was held at the fabulous, Maunsel House, in June and the couple went for a super relaxed day." "They opted for a To View More >>

A long post but full of insights! Andy Fountain explains how he and Lewis developed their unique style of wedding photography, how almost every coverage includes an album, and the pay-off for both their clients and the studio. There are two photographers at Fountain Photography. How do you and Lewis work together to capture the big day? Lewis is now my business partner, rather than simply an employee and second shooter. Mid-photography degree, we brought Lewis in to the business with the idea of eventually shooting two weddings a day, and making twice the profit. But while To View More >>
