Three weeks after first meeting, Hollie and Richard had chosen the ring. Nineteen months later, on 13 February 2010, they married. Binky Nixon photographed their UK wedding at St Mary the Virigin Stotfold church followed by a reception at Wrest Park, Silsoe. A traditional but personal affair. They're now expecting their first baby and have Binky lined up for a pregnancy shoot in a few months. This is their 14x10 Duo album . Enjoy... Anthony and Maureen's album is a great reminder that no two albums are alike. 'Unique' is a word we use a lot around here because every Queensberry album is custom made by hand, especially for you, to reflect your personality and taste... This big album shot and designed by Terry of Blue Rose Studios stood out as it progressed through the bindery, with its white leather cover and ivory pages, and its flip and wing pages. Anthony and Maureen married at the foot of the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque, in a small Italian styled wedding at Anthony's parents home. Terry spent time with the couple after To View More >>

Simon and Sophie were married in Taormina, Sicily after choosing a destination wedding for them and their friends and family. They were photographed by Phil Drinkwater from Manchester. Their wedding day preparation began in their traditional Sicilian Villa and the ceremony took place at the end of the main street in an old building via an interpreter. A key moment was walking through the street towards the bar for canapés with the Sicilians passing by wishing them congratulations - a truly unique experience. They spent the rest of the day chatting with friends while taking in the stunning views To View More >>

Many photographers are lone wolves. Not in the hunter gatherer kind of way but in the sense that they work alone and contact with the outside "photographic" world can be limited. However we are in a creative industry and so to keep the creative juices flowing you need to go beyond your doorstep to appreciate and develop as an Artist/Photographer. The great thing about the internet is you can share information, ideas and opinions with fellow photographers easily. Joining the DWF gives you a forum where fellow professionals can be open and frank about the issues that they have been having. Sometimes To View More >>

How much is Workspace worth to you? That depends on what you do with it. We've got people clearing really good money from event photography. They upload the images, apply a price list, publish the collection, and we do the rest. We're told the best part is getting the confirmation emails on your phone! We've got people who'd rather self-fulfil (use their own lab). That's cool, we like loyal customers too. It's more work for you, and you need a Pro plan, but we don't charge commission and the money goes straight into your account. We've got people selling to places they never could before. That picture is one of a small handful of photos from my wedding day that I actually like- and sadly it doesn't even feature my husband or me. Planning a wedding can be hard, and sticking to the budget even harder, but one of the most important lessons I learnt was: the cheap option isn't always the best option. My husband and I got married when we were very young and were given a budget from our parents that we had to work within. Sadly we made the decision to let the photography be one of the areas we skimped on and the results were devastating. All in all our photographer was a nice guy and To View More >>

When next you login to Workspace you'll see we've released an upgrade that makes major changes to the price list and shopping cart features. Largely these come from listening to your feedback as users, but we also need to change the way we handle taxes in Workspace at both the wholesale and retail level. We are sincerely grateful to our “early adopters”, and we’re sure you’ll like the changes - read on! - but if you’re already using these features you may need to edit your price lists, so this is an important heads-up. 1. You can now sell a range of Queensberry books and albums through To View More >>

The average wedding photographer works a lot harder today than they did ten to thirty years ago. The promise that digital photography would make life easier and cheaper just hasn’t eventuated. We've been keeping statistics about our albums for thirty years, and I thought sharing a few numbers might reinforce that cliche, “We’re our own worst enemies”. We’re talking averages here, and everybody's different, but this is how it looks to us. Old World Wedding Photography • Medium format camera, 120 roll film, 10 rolls x 12 exp. = 120 shots. • Typical album: 12 To View More >>

I think it's fair to say we are living in more challenging times than we were five years ago. The biggest world recession in our life time. Decreased global demand and the relentless media working 24/7 to scare the hell out of everyone everywhere. But as my cliched one-liner says, that’s the time us tough guys get going. If there’s reduced demand it's got to be about us thinking, working, and living smarter than our competition. If there’s less money going round I/you/we need to make certain we still get our fair share. And in a crazy sort of way this makes me feel that, despite the doom To View More >>
