Do you know Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds? — I'm showing my age here! Nick's strange baritone singing voice is definitely an acquired taste and I stayed away until I saw him as one of a bunch of big names singing Leonard Cohen songs at a Sydney tribute show. And then I came across the Red Hand Files. When they show up in my feed I stop scrolling and read, and his latest post made me think of photographers, and what you do. What we do too. Nick invites his fans to ask him questions, and every week or so he picks one to answer. He takes this very seriously. This week someone To View More >>

Categories are a great way to divide images in a Gallery into separate sub-groups. For a wedding, for example, you might have categories called Getting Ready, Ceremony, Reception and so on. That means your clients can jump to the Ceremony images, for example, without having to scroll through hundreds of other photos. You can now upload directly into Categories using the Workspace uploader. Here’s how to create a new Category, and upload directly into a Category using the Workspace uploader. 1. We've made some much-requested changes to our Q Book range: • We've added two extra sizes, A4 and A3. A3 and A4 are standard paper sizes in much of the world, but for those who aren't familiar they equate to approximately* 12x8" and 16x12" respectively (30x21 and 42x30cm). • You can now order both Q Book Lights and Mediums in the large A3 and 15x12 sizes. Although they are fairly similar we will run both sizes side by side for the time being. Designing Q Books The new A4 and A3 books do look great, and they're easy to design with the Workspace Album To View More >>

We saw this gorgeous album as it went through our bindery, featuring an Elopement by Jamie from Jamie Bott Photography , UK. Jamie told us all about Emily and James' special day. We hope they love their album as much as we do. "I first met Emily and James several years ago when they were both working front of house for a catering company that serviced a venue I often photographed at. They were both always so bubbly and full of life – I remember thinking if they ever got married how I’d love to be their wedding photographer. "Fast forward a few years and I received To View More >>

We released our Studio Boxes last month and they've been a hit. Some studios are choosing to order the boxes and slip-in mats separately from the prints. That means they can hold the product in the studio, and their clients can walk away from the sales session with their purchase in hand. To accommodate this, you can now purchase Studio Boxes and/or Slip-in mats in bulk, in Workspace. Studio Boxes and Mats also come a little cheaper when ordered in bulk, with the discount automatically applied at check out. Studio Boxes: The minimum quantity To View More >>

Before we close the doors for our holiday break we hold team get-togethers at the Bindery and Lab. Every year they're truly inspiring, and I thought I’d try and tell you why, and say thank you. The chart shows Queensberry's work in progress for the last nine months, lifted from yesterday's daily management report. It shows, more clearly than words, how our business trebles every November and December, as it has for more than 40 years. We call this hay-making season, a nod to my farming background. You have to make hay while the sun shines, and when I was a kid our neighbours turned To View More >>
