We met Jeff Youngren and his wife Erin (The Youngrens) a couple of years ago at WPPI and they've been on board with PJ ever since. Danny's received numbers of calls from Jeff about ideas for new Photojunction features, and it was one of those that is partly to thank for the new integration of albumexposure with Photojunction. 1) How do you like the albumexposure online album proofing feature? Why should others try it out? "To me, the Albumexposure/PJ integration is a game changer in the industry - never before has something so common been integrated so well into the whole design process. Stock photography may be eating into commission opportunities for professionals, but some people are doing very well out of it, including Aussie photographer David Freund. I saw David online talking about iStockphoto's 10th birthday and asked him how this fitted with his wedding business. - Ian Ian Baugh from Queensberry recently posed a question to me about the role my stock photography takes in my wedding photography business. It’s not unusual to find that most wedding photographers also photograph other things. Commonly wedding photographers are also portrait photographers, some are landscape To View More >>

It's that time of year when we take stock, make resolutions and ask questions ... like how can we make this year a winner? Are there too many photographers? Why do we ask our competitors for advice? What can we learn from musicians? And the big one: How much are our images worth? Sadly, that's not just about how good they are or how much time we spend on them in post-production. Our latest client newsletter is below. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment here or emailing Ian directly. Cheers, Nigel How much are your images worth? We received this present from our design consultants, Alt To View More >>

Girls, here's a tip. Go out and buy yourself a nice big folder. The ring binder type is good. Something that you can keep adding to. Call it your 'Wedding Folder'. The only reason I know anything about this is because Kayla bought a 'Wedding Folder' the day after we got engaged. And the only reason I'm talking about it is because it became our most important wedding planning resource. Kayla divided it up into sections - receipts, ideas, booking forms, correspondence, stationery... that kind of thing. In that folder went everything even remotely related to our wedding: pictures of dresses, hair To View More >>

In just a few days the Queensberry team will be heading off to the excitement and bedlam of WPPI and FOCUS. We love this opportunity to visit the States and the UK, meet old friends and make new ones ... and we hope you'll be among them. Queensberry is for people who believe that the way to succeed is to stand out from the crowd, not join it, and this year we have two new projects to talk to you about: 1. As you may know Apple chose Queensberry as one of "the world's finest bookmakers" to introduce their album design and ordering service in Aperture 3. Far from us to say why they chose us, so come To View More >>

By Isaac de Reus It’s getting towards the end of the “wedding season”… we’re totally snowed under with editing… we are shooting 2, sometimes 3 weddings per weekend… and I’m shattered! So… I thought I’d sit down and list a whole heap of things I love about weddings – as a way to rejuvenating myself – and why not share it? I love seeing families come together, and capturing the little moments as old friends reconnect. I love seeing “everyday people” going through the process of having professional hair, makeup, putting on a beautiful dress. I love the reaction when the To View More >>

Like many good things Musée begins with a story. In fact it begins with three stories, and the real magic is how they weave together... The first begins several years ago with a traveller on a bus in Spain, who strikes up a conversation with the woman sitting next to him. They like each other enough to introduce themselves. He's a wedding photographer from the far side of the world, in Spain on a scholarship. She's a paper conservator living in England, home to visit her family in Barcelona - and as it turns out, later, in love. The photographer and the conservator like each other enough to swap To View More >>

Well we capped off a successful trade show in Las Vegas by going to the WPPI awards to see Johannes van Kan win the wedding album competition (for a single photographer). Johannes was at home in New Zealand with his lovely wife Jo and "Hurricane Ida", so Heather grabbed the trophy for him and I took this photo on my iPhone. Everyone loved Johannes' imagery and we had a constant stream to the Queensberry stand to check it out (lots of people recognised the Musée album he displayed it in). Thanks a million to everyone who came to see us. The team caught up with a heap of old friends and made lots To View More >>
