Several weeks ago, engaged couple Janet and Chip hit the streets of New York and the Museum of Natural History with their photographer Parris Whittingham for a pre-wedding  engagement session. After seeing their proofs of the shoot, the couple decided to commission two 9×9 matted albums as wedding gifts for their parents. Parris says, "With the support of Queensberry, we were able to custom design and receive these exquisite parent albums in record time…" Our congratulations and best wishes to Janet and Chip as they wed this weekend - 8 May, 2010. Yesterday I came across these beautiful invitations by Atelier Isabey. I wish I could touch them. I wish you could! Imagine our first sensory experience as babies - touch, taste, smell, sound, vision - how gradually they made the world real and meaningful... And how we realised that the world isn't just out there, that we can design it - make it beautiful - the origin of art, craft, home-making, cooking, gardening... based sometimes on our traditions, sometimes on our own creativity. I know some of us are more conscious of these things than others, but at least for the fortunate among us, finely To View More >>

We've just updated Workspace with some beautiful new viewing options for your client website. The slideshow view hasn't changed but we've increased the image size in the standard thumbnail view, and added two options that we know you'll love - Square and Masonry. So you can see the difference I've made three screen shots with the same images (by James Yeats-Brown). Masonry view Square view Basic Thumbnail (no cropping) Workspace's default is to display your events as slideshows, but you can change it to your favourite thumbnail view (or tweak the slideshow) under Settings > Website Settings To View More >>

At Queensberry we say our ideal clients are mid to high end photographers, and those who aspire to be. Oh, and we love it if you buy albums! So in our recent album pricing survey one of the questions we asked readers was, how many albums do you sell? Over half our respondents said less than ten a year. Ten albums a year doesn't seem a lot, so does that mean the world is ending for albums and the people who sell them? Not at all. Nothing's changed. Albums have always been a way of standing out from the crowd and up-selling. In the old days most photographers sold the negatives or a stack of prints. To View More >>

Three months was all Juliane and Chris needed to put together their beautiful DIY wedding. They rented a lovely house for the weekend in Austin, Texas where a small intimate ceremony took place. Their photographer Sarah Jaine Photography describes the day as “Beautiful, unique and truly representative of how I know them to be.” Their album starts with a translucent title page I just love the ceremony shots - Chris and Juliane are glowing. It was a small intimate ceremony with just immediate family and close friends - they even had their friend marry them (he applied for a license). Chris To View More >>

I am always 'oohing' and 'aahing' over destination weddings, and when I came across Brian and Delara’s Bali wedding it was no exception. On the clifftops of Bukit Peninsula, Brian and Delara wed at Villa Latitude in Karang Kembar, Bali. They're both from Perth Australia, and they enjoyed an entire week celebrating, relaxing and having fun with their nearest and dearest. I just love the beautiful soft light captured in their photographs, not to mention the breathtaking location! Brian and Delara said their 'I do's' overlooking the Indian Ocean - It looks stunning! Brian and Delara chose To View More >>

Michelle and Guy wed at the Milk Station in Otaki, New Zealand. The photographer of the day was Siaosi Photography who are based in Wellington, New Zealand. With a wedding of only 25 guests, it was a relaxed and intimate day shared with loved ones – the perfect celebration for Michelle and Guy. Translucent title pages are a great introduction to any album. I just adore the soft shades of purple & grey throughout this 10x10 Flushmount Album (I'm a sucker for anything Lavender!) A relaxed garden party was the perfect fit for Chris and Donna's intimate wedding. They wed at Mantells in Auckland New Zealand where quality champagne and canapés were served and French jazz played. Their wedding has a gorgeous vintage feel to it - enhanced by the style of Jessica Photography's images. Click on the image to take a closer look - Donna's Sera Lilly dress is just beautiful. Words from the bride: "We made sure that our ceremony had a good mix of serious and fun so that our guests weren’t bored. We added in comical moments, honest truths about ourselves (– where the guests To View More >>

We love seeing our clients coming up with innovative new marketing ideas. Andy Donnan received his new Queensberry Starter Kit and tweeted about an idea he had to show his out-of-town clients... And we asked him if we could share. Many of his clients won't get the opportunity to see or touch his albums, so he wanted to give them an up close and personal album viewing experience, but which they could have from anywhere in the world. I won't say too much more except check out how Andy introduces his Queensberry album offerings here (click on the image to play). Cheers, Nigel To View More >>
