We're selling more smaller albums these days, but we're stoked to see people still opting for the big books! Our 18x10 albums allow for lots of images, and high impact story-telling with their radical panoramic pages. And they translate perfectly into copy albums for parents and loved ones too. (If you've included lots of small images we recommend 10in copies for albums of this size.) This 18x10 is by husband and wife team Neil and Katherine of Tandem Photography, Christchurch, New Zealand. How do you target high-end clients? How do you stand out from the crowd? What types of albums could you, or should you, offer? Those are all good questions. Today we share why Duo albums might be the answer. 01. Turn your images into art What make Duos different are their unique pagemount mats. They frame your images with a striking key line, created by meticulously hand-trimming and mounting each print to fit inside the mat opening — each one presented with the same care and attention as your framed wall art. 02. The beautiful imagery in our album of the week caught our attention as it went through the bindery — we love how the natural elements and earthy tones work perfectly with the Tan Faux Leather. Photographer Jon Gazzignato of Tasmania, Australia, shared some of the stand-out moments from the day. "The wedding was held at Riversdale Estate in Tasmania during Summer. The ceremony was supposed to be out on the courtyard overlooking the vineyard and Coal River Valley." "Just as the bride was about to walk out, a storm struck and the 80+ guests had to run for cover. We saw this album with photography by Simon Darby of Wanaka Photography as it went through the Bindery. It showcases not just beautiful photography of Kate and James' lovely wedding, but the stunning New Zealand landscape. Wanaka is a tourist and holidaymaker destination, and the subject of much iconic New Zealand photography. The album also shows some of the features that make our Duo unique. The album has a Buckram Carbon cover with Futura embossing. The matted pages are Pagemount style, with a keyline around the prints created by carefully hand trimming To View More >>

We are in love with this wedding and album! The gorgeous wedding was photographed by Natalija Brunovs from We Are All Stardust, Australia. Check out that beautiful custom embossing, complete with gold foil! Colour co-ordinating your album with your wedding outfits is such a great idea, especially when they're gold and royal blue. The gold foil looks great with our Starry Night Buckram. In fact all of our Buckrams look great embossed. You can request custom embossing and gold or silver foil by emailing us. This week's 'Album of the Week' goes to Ian and Emma from Ian Scott Photography. "We had the pleasure of meeting with Sarah and Ben several times before the wedding day," Emma says. "First at their pre-wedding shoot, then at the studio for newborn photographs of their baby daughter. They were so chilled out we knew we would have a great day capturing their wedding." The album is a 14x10 Fine Art Flushmount with a Sahara Faux Leather cover. "Their wedding venue, Offley Place, is a beautiful country house hotel in Great Offley. Studios who want to offer "everything Queensberry" have found our starter kits and treasure boxes very useful in the past, but increasingly the data tells us that • Sample Albums are far more effective sales tools, and • not everyone wants to offer all our materials or colours! In fact many studios show nothing but their samples, and offer alternatives only if they're asked. Which is why we’ve redesigned our cover swatches and paper samplers to make them more affordable, and also more flexible — so you can show what you want To View More >>
