Think family portraits, weddings, babies, kids, pets, events, glamour, boudoir, schools, graduations and so on. This is not the official Queensberry view of the world, just my own. But it lays out the lessons I believe we’ve learned from 50 years listening to successful photographers. ~ Ian To View More >>

Over the past few weeks we've been working on resources to help support you with your marketing. Today we're launching our first Social Media Marketing Kit.  This first kit includes twelve unique designs for sales promotions. As you can see it's focused on albums and prints, but it's easy to swap out the text and images in Photoshop for your own purposes. They can be used on Instagram and Facebook, or included in your marketing ads.  Over the next few weeks we'll be launching more resources, so stay tuned. We hope you like them!   Download the pack below, To View More >>

Hi Everyone, This is a quick message to let you know that New Zealand will be moving from Alert Level 4 to Alert Level 3 on Tuesday 28th April, which means we will be able to reopen production at that time, with strict guidelines to keep our staff safe. Thank you everyone for your patience over the lockdown, and special thanks to those who followed our advice and continued to send their orders in. You — and those whose work we couldn’t deliver before lockdown started — will be at the head of the line on the 28th. And if you do have orders to send, please do so as soon as you To View More >>

Hi, it's Stephen here. For a few weeks now we’ve been in deep discussions about how to navigate the current COVID crisis and, more importantly, support the industry we love so much. So it seems a little ironic that, as part of those discussions, today we’re releasing a book called “Love’s Not Enough”. Ironic because we do  love  our industry, we believe love  drives  our industry, and yet … love's not enough. Q: How do customers know what your images will look like on their home or office wall? A: Set up "display images" in your Print Shop showing your artwork in different settings. Q: Print Shop makes setting up display  images  easy, but how to create the images themselves? A: Stock Images are a great way to encourage sales by showing potential customers your images on display. Here we list five resources you could use. Whether you need a high level of customisation, or just an app to do it for you, there are options for everyone.  Disclaimer: To View More >>

The beautiful imagery in our album of the week caught our attention as it went through the bindery — we love how the natural elements and earthy tones work perfectly with the Tan Faux Leather. Photographer Jon Gazzignato of Tasmania, Australia, shared some of the stand-out moments from the day. "The wedding was held at Riversdale Estate in Tasmania during Summer. The ceremony was supposed to be out on the courtyard overlooking the vineyard and Coal River Valley." "Just as the bride was about to walk out, a storm struck and the 80+ guests had to run for cover. Workspace keeps your images as safe as possible by never displaying the high-res image, and by disabling the browser’s right-click download function. You can also add watermarks to your images. Simply upload your watermark to Workspace, and apply it to a collection of images. Workspace does the work for you, applying the watermark you've selected to each image – so you don't have to do each one by hand! You also have different watermark placement options, from which you can select the most appropriate option for you. Watch our tutorial below on how to use our watermarking feature: To View More >>

It’s so refreshing to meet people who act as if the only thing coming between them and their dreams is a plan. Dmitry and Victoria Fedotov built a photography business serving some of the world’s wealthiest people by being clear about their goals and plans, by going the extra mile for their clients … and by shutting out the voices inside that say it can’t be done. Read on for the short story, or click here to listen to my conversation with Dimitry. Download Dmitry’s free Wedding Photography Guide. We're excited about the feedback for the new Workspace release. And from reading your emails it looks like our new storyboards will put smiles on a lot of faces. Originally storyboards didn't get much attention, but when we introduced blogging that changed. We realized pretty quickly that they needed a revamp. So let's look at what we have done: Storyboards are made up of templates designed to display groups of images, which Workspace then exports to create a single JPG. Use them like building blocks - choose a single template or add several To View More >>
